Miyu

I get distracted easily from other projects... BUT ANYWAYS...

This is the first time I've drawn an anthro-ish character, so forgive me...

I recently played the unreleased Star Fox 2 for the SNES and really fell in love with the game. It's a shame it never got released (even though it was already finished) and we haven't really received another game like it (although I guess Command is pretty similar).

I really like the character designs for Miyu and Fay, so I wanted to draw them out. I gave Miyu a mix between the classic SNES Star Fox uniforms and Fox's look in Super Smash Bros 4, with the metal legs being an homage to the classic designs (I also avoided adding the stupid boob cups that they seem to always give to female pilots). I wanted to give her a tail like the other members, but lynxs have nubby little tails.

When deciding on her uniform color, I was trying to pick a color that no other member had used, which were Purple, Yellow, and Pink. I was leaning toward Purple/Magenta (the other colors were too happy looking), but her catlike appearance and piloting stats remind me of an assassin so I gave her a sleek Black uniform and a Beam Saber from SSB4.

Hopefully she gets her chance to shine in a future Star Fox game alongside Fay. And hey, I heard the new Star Fox for the Wii U is gonna have co-op where 2 pilots share a ship and that seems really cool. And if you're a fan of Star Fox, you guys should check out Lylat-Legacy!
